Bowmore and Aston Martin have been partners in craft and attention-to-detail for years.

We worked alongside their internal teams and S+CO on the global launch of their latest range, creating a digital showcase of the classic cars that inspired this launch.

We knew that the site needed to work especially well in a retail environment within an exhibition space, so we decided to design a horizontal tablet-first scroller. A website, but make it feel like a native touch environment.

The main focus, throughout, was to connect the highly detailed illustrative work with the intricate bottle design.

A racing green background has a large image of a Bowmore Aston Martin 15 year old whisky bottle on it which is zoomed into the label, this has a description of the whisky which is “Married in 1st filled Bourbon casks to create a refreshing silky peat smoked character with notes of citrus”. The alcohol is 43% vol. There is tricolor image slightly superimposed on this image of the three Bowmore Aston Martin whiskies and each colour features a bottle: the first is a racing green patterned column with the Bowmore Aston Martin 10-year old bottle on it and it invites you to “Discover Bowmore 10 year old” “1932”; the second is an off-white column with the Bowmore Aston Martin 15-year old bottle on it and it invites you to “Discover Bowmore 15 year old” “1939”; the firthird st is a blued column with the Bowmore Aston Martin 18-year old bottle on it and it invites you to “Discover Bowmore 18 year old” “1957”;
